How To Organize Gift Wrap For The Holidays🎁

I love to wrap gifts! There is something about perfectly folded corners and when the pattern lines up perfectly... so satisfying! Gift wrap comes in many different shapes and sizes; there are rolls, tissue paper, ribbons and bows, gift bags, gift boxes - and somehow it keeps multiplying. Here are a few ways that I keep my gift wrap organized.

1. No Rolls!

I don't store paper on rolls. If I have a roll, I take the paper off, cut it into smaller sizes if necessary, and then fold it up. I'm actually trying to cut back on wrapping paper, so I rarely buy more.

2. Keep it together.

I keep everything in a file box, and I organize the wrapping paper and bags by color, using hanging files. I hang the paper over the sides of the hanging files, and the gift bags are inside the files.

3. Sort by holiday or theme.

I have two boxes of gift wrap: one is for Christmas, and the other is for everything else. I just happen to have a lot more Christmas wrapping paper, and lots of ribbons. I like to keep it separate so I can just grab what I need. Plus the Christmas box gets put away with all the decorations so it's out of the way. During the holidays, I bring the Christmas gift wrap box down , and leave it in the office so anyone in the family can use it.

4. Don’t forget the extras.

I keep scissors and tape in the box, as well as ribbon and gift tags, with a few pens.

Depending on how much gift wrap you have, you might have more than one container. If you have lots of ribbon and tags that could also be stored in another bin. If you are using clears bins, you will be able to see what colors are inside; and if your bins are not clear just make sure to clearly label them!

That's it! Pretty simple right? How do you store and organize your gift wrap?
